Atascocita is a suburb of Houston, located to the northeast of the city. We are just outside Beltway 8, and boarder the City of Houston on 3 sides and Humble on the other.

YES! We have several members that live outside of Atascocita. While you may not be able to respond to calls from your house, you can still ride duty crew and stay at the station those nights/days. Please see our recruitment page for duty shift requirements.
Both. AVFD staffs two MICU (paramedic) ambulances 24/7 with paid personnel, volunteer firefighters staff our duty crews from 6pm-6am during the week and all weekend. We have part time paid firefighters that staff our duty crew during weekdays from 6am-6pm. Regardless of the time of day, or day of the week, AVFD has several apparatus staffed 24/7. Our duty crews are on duty at the station and ready to quickly respond to your emergencies.

No, unfortunately are unable to allow birthday parties at our stations. We do, however, allow tours of the stations, and you are always welcome to stop by and look at the fire trucks.
NO! If you have any kind of emergency, you should dial 911. If you drive up to the station, the ambulance at that station might be on another call, and it will take longer to get another ambulance to you then if you had just called right away. Always dial 911.
No, we do not fill swimming pools. However, we can offer this advice: if you are filling a swimming pool, contact your MUD, you MIGHT be able to get a partial credit on your bill.
